What Changes Because Someone Hires You?
I had an amazing appointment with a client today. He was wrestling with a very big business issue (millions of dollars kind of big). As it turned out, challenge was actually something very deep and very personal that had nothing to do with the money.
We talked about the personal issue for awhile and after I asked him some strategic questions and pointed out a few details he had missed in his analysis, he made a decision that would positively impact thousands of people.
Not only did he make a choice but he made one that he he loved and I could see the relief and joy on his face.
At the end of our meeting he said the words every business owner longs to hear, “You more than earned your fee today. Thank you.”
If you want to avoid being a commodity or constantly avoid price issues, you have to provide value that fundamentally changes a client’s world.
It is no longer enough to provide good service and a good product. You must alter a client’s outcomes in some significant way if you are want to continue to grow.
